Michael was born February 5, 2000. We knew Michael was special when he was born on that winter cold day. You could feel the love in that room from the first day. We would sing songs to him such as “On the day you were born all the angels come around”. That was just the beginning of how he started seeing angels. He was a bright child who loved life and his family.
Michael begin complaining about his legs hurting and wasn’t able to walk at times. On June 24, 2004, we heard the worse news a family could hear. Your son has neuroblastoma cancer. First there were surgeries, then chemo, transplants, radiation, pills, more chemo, & removal of the tumor. He was always in pain but, would not complain. He would never tell us that he was in pain but, we always knew. Even the doctor’s were amazed of have brave and strong Michael was.
Then in 2006 he relapsed. Here is a beautiful 6 year old that just finished kindergarten that had so many years ahead of him. That had to continue to fight this battle of cancer even harder. He told his sister’s and brother “Don’t cry GOD taken a little bit of cancer out of me and it will be okay”.
June 18th, 2007 the doctors told us that Michael cancer was spreading and gave us a 2 week life span. Well, that turned into 2 ½ months. Michael went with the angels surround by family on September 9, 2007 after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Again the room was filled with love and the angels were there. We knew because he told us “all the angels are here, do you see them?” Michael left a video to the doctor’s at Cook Children’s in Fort Worth (Granger, Howrey & Eames) “I know I have cancer, I just don’t know how it got in me, and I’m not the only one. There are a lot of kids with cancer. You have to make a cure; you just have to make a cure”
We miss him dearly and he will always be in our hearts and we are in his heart and the love for him will never die.
Loving Family,
Mancuso’s & Kennedy’s
