Our Story

Anna was 9 weeks old and had a cough. The doctor ordered an x-ray to be sure she didn't have pneumonia. Little did we know how much better pneumonia would've been. Three days later, we were in the PICU awaiting surgery. How could our new little baby have cancer? We couldn't even bring ourselves to say the word. The tumor was growing out of her spine and pressing on her main bronchus, so it had to be removed right away. We spent Thanksgiving and the following week in the PICU and Anna recovered very well. Being under one year old, Anna was one of the more fortunate. Nearly all of the tumor was removed and her scans have been clear ever since. Anna has suffered speech delay, sensory integration problems and chronic sleep disorder. She had made amazing progress with therapy and medication. How does a child so young face so many more challenges than I've had in my whole lifetime? Anna just turned 4 yrs old and we are so very fortunate to have her in our lives. She has a kind and loving heart. Her big brother Lucas is 7 and he looks out for her. He's been a trooper through all of this, despite losing much time with us when we were taking care of Anna. We are so fortunate to have such amazing kids. We pray everyday that no more children suffer through such pain and trauma. We live day by day and continue to fight for the day this disease is abolished.

Thank you

Your donation will help save the lives of the most precious people, our children. Most children diagnosed are toddlers and pre-schoolers. The suffering of our babies must end. Please help spread the word and make this a priority, it simply must be. There is a cure and we will find it thanks to you. We must stomp out this horrific, devious disease. Thank you for helping, it means more than words could ever express.
